The Emergency Equine Response Unit (EERU) is dedicated to training, education and providing professional and organized equine and large animal emergency response.

The Emergency Equine Response Unit, in conjunction with Code 3 Associates, provides safe, efficient response to emergency situations. In addition to providing disaster response, EERU also offers disaster response classes with an emphasis on equine rescue training.

Common training and response topics include trailer accidents, technical large animal emergency rescue from mud, water, ice, low/high angle, and wildfire evacuations.

Emergency Equine Response Unit classes are taught in conjunction with Code 3 Associates and are certified by Colorado State University.
